Exeter International has been sending travellers to Russia and Eastern Europe since 1992. I set up the UK office in 2005 after living in St Petersburg for almost three years. Most of what you hear about Russia is a statistic or a sound bite: the largest country in the world, the largest lake, the longest rail route, the ostentation. These build a certain picture of this vast country that is often misunderstood. I am passionate about using my knowlege and expertise to offer a personal service arranging holidays individual to you for Russia and our other destinations.
I hope we can help you plan your next holiday. Take a look and see what our past customers have said about us.

Employing our extensive local contacts, we work tirelessly to exceed the expectations of our clients. That’s why our guided tours and private tours have been recommended by The Daily Telegraph, The Spectator, Tatler, the Financial Times, the Observer, The Sunday Times Travel Magazine, The Times, the Mail on Sunday. Most recently the Telegraph selected a trip we planned for them as one of their trips of 2011.
The value of booking your holiday with Exeter International includes:
We are passionate about Russia and Eastern Europe, but we understand that independent travel there can be challenging. Guide books are out of date even before they are published, and it’s not so much a case of what you know as who you know. We cultivate our extensive local contacts and travel to our destinations regularly to update our knowledge.

Because we are independent we can offer truly impartial advice.
Use our knowledge and expertise to ensure you have the best experience and make the most of your time. We can design a trip that will avoid poor flight connections, crowds at museums (as much as possible) and make your holiday unique. This takes planning and experience and is our speciality.
Our guides will not drag you to the nearest shop selling tourist tat. We go beyond the well known sites to allow you to discover little-known museums or street markets off the beaten track.
Amber Room Workshops
Different, unusual and often closed to the general public we can offer special insider access that defines experiential travel.

Avoiding long waits in museum lines is one of our top priorities. Because we pre-purchase most museum tickets and make appointments wherever possible, we minimise waiting time to get into the most popular sights in each city.

We know that selecting the right guide can be the single most important factor in the enjoyment of your holiday. Exeter guides are handpicked and have benefited from years of training. You will not be stuck with a guide that has poor English or a lack of knowledge.
We book a number of people at all our partner hotels, giving us preferred rates, clout and often availability to rooms even on very busy dates. Expect added amenities and often complimentary upgrades upon check in at our partner hotels (subject to availability).
