Travel to Croatia FAQs

What currency shall I take with me?

Croatia is not in the European Union. The local currency is the Croatian Kuna (HRK) - there are approximately 8 - 9 Kuna to the Pound. We recommend that you change Sterling in the destination or use your preferred card payment method.

What sort of holiday can I have?

Croatia has something for everyone, cultural touring of the various regions, active holidays, sailing and horse riding or a city break in Dubrovnik or Split. Alternatively, combine a Croatia holiday with a trip to Slovenia, Montenegro or Bosnia.

How long should I plan to stay?

Subject to which areas of the country you wish to see, we recommend a minimum of a week.

What is the best way to get around?

We recommend hiring an English-speaking driver-guide. This way you can relax and let someone else take the strain of driving. Your driver-guide can help you see beneath the surface of each place and save you time by knowing the exact routes. Alternatively we can arrange car hire. The roads are good. We can plan your visit and pre book ferries from the mainland to the islands.

If MoNo (money is no object) we highly recommend chartering a private vessel to see the best and the most of the islands.
