Bolshoi in Russian means large or grand and after a six year closure the Bolshoi Theatre has certainly had a grand restoration. The theatre has risen, phoenix like from the terrible state of repair that saw the very foundations of the 155 year old building being replaced.

No expense has been spared - £450.00 million has been spent including 280 square metres on gold leaf. Of course the quality of the performances is not affected, but perhaps the enjoyment of them will increase as the stunning surroundings will take you back to the opulence of Imperial times.

In celebration of the grand re opening we have created a Moscow weekend, departing London on Friday to include three nights accommodation at either the Ritz Carlton Moscow or the Marriott Royal Aurora, both of which are located just a few minutes walk from the theatre, direct flights with British Airways, a tour of the Kremlin with your own private Exeter International guide and a private backstage tour of the Bolshoi.

As a guideline (exact costs subject to dates of travel) £1,350.00 per person, based on two people sharing a double room at the Mariott Royal Aurora and £1,550.00 per person, based on two people sharing in a superior double at the Ritz Carlton Moscow. All taxes and breakfast included.
