Some of the most frequently asked questions to help you plan your visit.
Do I need a visa?
Yes, but we can handle every aspect for you and take the sting out of the paperwork. Your passport must be valid for more than six months after the date of travel and have two blank pages.
What currency shall I take with me?
The official currency is the Russian Rouble. The approximate exchange rate of 60 roubles to the sterling. We suggest that you do not carry cash or buy roubles in advance, but that you use ATM machines locally as even with a 1.75% transaction fee from the bank the rate of exchange will be preferable.
Can you recommend restaurants?
We will send you our most up to date restaurant suggestions before your travel.
I am planning to visit Moscow too, what are my travel options between the cities?
Many and varied by train or plane. We recommend the uber-smart and brand new high speed Sapsan launched in December 2009.
Is it safe to walk around alone in the evening?
Yes. People are very respectful of visitors. Pickpocket’s do however operate in crowded tourist areas.
